Future of Google Android

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I wanted to write my opinions about this new and great mobile platform from Google – Android.

Firstly, there is one very important factor about it, and hopefully that will happen soon – the death of Windows Phone or Mobile, whatever they call it these days. The horrible mobile platforms era might be coming to an end. But there is another side to that. Google Android is an open source project, and currently is being used by a lot of phone manufacturers. It’s growing and showing strength on the market. But… If you think about why Microsoft has so many failures with their software and why Apple don’t… They don’t make their own hardware. And now so many Android developers start saying that developing for the platform becomes horrible, because they don’t perform the same way on the variety of devices. Meaning that when the product comes out there is no guarantee that it will work.

So is Google following the steps of Microsoft – no they don’t. But they might find themselves in the same situation as the more devices are being manufactured the more headache the developers get. Whilst with the iPhone so far they only have a couple of models, but the differences are not as dramatic between them, as it’s all Apple hardware.

I may be wrong but I expect something bad to happen with this platform sooner or later. But I’m not Nastardamus in the world of computers, and who knows anyway. Just my opinion, which has been expressed. Thank You.

Aleksandr.
